Manaaki Legal

Hineawe Green

Principal Lawyer

Hineawe is of Ngāti Porou descent and was raised in Tikitiki on the East Coast. She and her husband have six children and, so far, four mokopuna.

She graduated from Victoria University’s Faculty of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the bar in 1999.

Until recently, she has worked for a law firm in Porirua, specialising in property and estate law.

Manaaki Legal is her response to being able to use her professional expertise to help people, while also being able to spend time with whānau and enjoy the things she loves.

“I am very excited to be able to announce the launch of my new law practice, Manaaki Legal.  As a proud Ngati Porou woman, I am privileged to carry my heritage with me. It is reflected in the choice of ‘Manaaki’ as the name of my firm. Manaaki describes the type of hospitality and care that I will look to provide within my practice.

I want to acknowledge and thank my whānau and friends, whose support has been instrumental in getting to this point. He hokinga mahara hoki ki ōku mātua, tōku tuakana me āku irāmutu kua ngaro atu ki tua o te ārai.”
